We encourage you to use our live student support system by clicking the button to the right. We are often available to answer your questions live online.
Q. Is it possible to communicate with the Admissions Staff prior to registration?
A. Yes. Prospective and current students are encouraged to contact the University Admissions Staff at anytime by e-mail. Please see our registration page for contact information. We also have chat support available directly from this web site.
Please note that while UHT receives many inquiries from all over the globe on a daily basis, we strive to answer all prospective student questions in a timely manner. Please allow 3 - 4 business days to receive a reply to most inquiries. Reply time will take longer during times when we have a high-volume of inquiries, over weekends, or during holiday periods. Please view our Contact Page for more details.
Due to the global scope of the university - and the complexity of operating across all time-zones, the Admissions and Administrative offices are not able to accept inquiries, or administrative questions by phone. Please direct all correspondence by e-mail only. This is not only a much more efficient method of communication, but also provides both you and the university with an electronic record of our correspondence that can be much more easily archived for future reference.

Q. What does the tuition include?
A. Tuition at UHT includes basic course costs, and in some cases also includes extras such as the standard technology fee, etc. Please see the tuition page for more details. Costs for books are NOT included in the tuition, and are to be purchased (or borrowed) by the student. Great care has been taken to select high quality course books that are not overly expensive. In fact, the costs for the approximately twenty (20) required texts for the Bachelor of Science degree program should normally be less than US$300. Keep in mind that the cost for books (if purchased) will be spread-out over the duration of the program - and only need to be purchased as needed, as you progress through each module.

Q. Can I enroll in the Bachelor's Degree program without prior university experience?
A. Yes. The main concern of UHT is that incoming students are able to keep up with the required reading and writing assignments. If you feel that you are able to read and write sufficiently at the college-level, that is normally all that's required for entry at the Bachelors level. If you are concerned about your reading and/or writing level, please make note of that on your degree program application. The college will then suggest resources and practice to help you brush-up on your skills.
Q. Am I automatically guaranteed to receive my degree once I pay my tuition?
A. No. UHT is a serious Institute of Higher Education - you must successfully complete all components of your degree program to graduate. Please do not enroll with UHT unless you are serious about your education and want to earn a degree that will give you a sense of accomplishment and pride upon completion.

Q. Can I apply credit I receive from UHT to an another college, university or regionally-accredited institution?
A. As with any university program, the amount of credit given, if any, depends entirely on policy of evaluating institution. Just as UHT reserves the right to determine transfer credit given for a student's past education toward the entrance requirements of our college, other institutions reserve the same right when determining how they will handle transfer credit. If you are planning to transfer credit from UHT, or any other college, to another specific institution, it is suggested that you contact them in advance to ask about that school's unique policy toward transfer credit. Back to top of page
Q. Does UHT accept credits from other schools?
A. Currently, all new UHT students (who do not have prior background in Holistic studies) must start at the Bachelors degree level, and continue through each degree program in sequence. Credit may be applied toward existing UHT Bachelors Degree courses at the sole discretion of the University. The Masters and Doctoral degree program may be open to those with a qualifying bachelors degree in Holistic Studies. Please contact UHT Admissions for details. Back to top of page
Q. Are student loans available to assist with tuition?
A. UHT is not currently part of the U.S. Federal Student Loan system. However, we do offer several Tuition Financing Options to incoming degree students designed to fit almost every budget. Visit our Tuition Information page for complete details.
Note that attractive PayPal Financing options (via PayPal Credit) are also available for those students who choose one of our full-tuition payment options. PayPal Credit options are currently available only for U.S. Residents. If applicable, you will see these added options during check-out. See this page for details (opens in a new window).

Q. Are there any other fees or charges outside of my tuition costs?
A. There are several costs outside of the standard course tuition of which you should be aware:
Enrollment Fee: The $150 enrollment fee is applied toward the administrative costs for the application review process, student record creation, and UHT online campus account set-up and access. The enrollment fee is required before a student's application will enter the review process, and is non-refundable.
Books and Materials: While some books and resources are provided at no additional cost within the UHT Campus System, the majority of the course books and materials must be purchased (or borrowed from a public library system) by the student. Unlike most colleges and universities, however, UHT strives to choose the required reading based on high-quality, reasonable cost, and likely availability in good public libraries. In other words, UHT course text book lists are not filled with over-priced college text books! UHT partners with Amazon.com to help make the location and purchase process easy for students in many countries around the world.
Technology Fee: UHT utilizes a world-class online campus system that brings students, faculty and administrators from around the globe together in one central online location. There is a $10 monthly fee to cover the ongoing costs of maintaining your student campus account. Please note that this fee is currently waived for new students until further notice. Those who register during this period will not be required to pay the technology fee throughout their degree program.
Graduation Fee: A graduation fee of $125 is accessed for all students who have been reviewed and approved for graduation from a degree program. This fee is applied to the costs associated with the review and approval of your degree completion, preparation of transcripts, the degree certificate, packaging and shipping costs.

Q. What is the curriculum for the Masters and/or Doctoral Program(s)?
A. Both the Master and Doctoral programs are customized for the individual student. Your assigned professor will assist you with the selection of reading material, based on your area of interest (and approved thesis / dissertation topic). See the specific program pages for more details.
Q. Is it possible to enroll directly in the Masters or Doctoral Program?
A. Yes - however, the prospective student must document sufficient prior education, qualifications, background, and/or experience in the holistic field (or a related-field) in order to be eligible for entry ot the graduate-level. In almost all cases, the minimum requirement to enter at the master's level is a qualifying bachelor's degree (or the equivalent) in the holistic (or related) field. Prospective doctoral students will have additional requirements. All decisions he will
Q. How are tests / exams conducted and what is the passing percentage?
A. UHT course modules are not based on traditional tests or examinations. Courses are research and writing-intensive. The university is not interested in having the student sit for an open book exam to answer test questions, nor do we want the student to simply memorize facts for a test. UHT takes a very objective view and is more interested in what students actually learn from their studies.
Q. Can a student get support with his / her studies?
A. Yes. Course Professors, faculty and administrators are available to answer your questions on a regular basis via the internal messaging system of the online campus system, or by e-mail.

Q. How long does the program run? Is it self-paced or is it a "fixed" time?

Q. How are the courses run? Are they formal online classes or self-study?
A. The course modules are self-study, under the guidance of course professor(s) and faculty advisors.
Q. What is the cancellation policy of the university?
A. There are no refunds on payments made to the university for either course modules, or standard installments. The one exception is for degree programs that have been paid for in full, in which case the college would refund a partial tuition amount, less a $300 Administrative Fee (see Terms and Conditions page for details). Please note that after 14-days of enrollment, no refund amount is given on full tuition payments.
Students are responsible for the tuition and costs of their studies up to the point of officially withdrawing from a UHT degree program. Once the student informs UHT that they are withdrawing from the program in writing, the university would change the student's status to "inactive" and disable access to the online campus system. If the student later asks to be reinstated, the balance of any remaining tuition payments, as well as any additional costs and fees would begin again at that time. In most cases, a reinstatement fee would be required to re-start the program. Please see the Terms and Conditions document for more details.
Under no circumstances does UHT provide refunds, or any support for any books or materials purchased through third-party vendors. All inquiries related to these types of purchases should be directed to the seller only.
Important Note: that the cancellation policies above apply to UHT Degree Programs ONLY. Certificate programs, and other short courses available from the UHT campus may not be managed by UHT, and will have their own specific cancellation and refund policies. In some cases, tuition payments for some courses are made directly to the course provider, and not UHT. If you are registering for a certificate program, or other short-duration course offereing, please make sure to read and understand the specific policies of that course.
Q. What if I need to take a break, or put my studies “on hold” for a while?
A. If a student needs to put their studies on hold for a while (i.e., longer than 3-months), we require that the student contact the UHT Administration Office in writing to explain the situation and provide us with an expected return date. If approved, UHT may (at our discretion) suspend the student's installment payments (if applicable) until such time as UHT is notified of the student's return to their studies. Please see the Terms and Conditions document for more details and exceptions.
Q. Will a transcript or letter of recommendation be available to me upon graduation?
A. Yes, official transcripts are available for all degree program graduates. Whether requested by the graduate, or released to an employer or other educational institution specifically upon the graduate's written request.
Q. Can my current or future employer contact UHT to confirm my degree qualification?
A. Yes. As mentioned previously, a graduate's transcript will be released (sent) to your employer or other educational institution upon personal written request of the graduate. It is important to note that the UHT Privacy Policy requires that the graduate request release of their transcript in writing.
